Jean-Baptiste Elissalde, coach of three-quarters of the XV of France : “I was at the bedside of the team of France of less than 18 years old so it’s a little weird to find myself with the great team of France. This is a big challenge. My background as a player and coach does not lack, of challenges, therefore, it is necessary to go for it ! It is a pleasure to be there, it represents an institution, a country, this will be one of our first messages. It is necessary that the boys realize how lucky they are to be here. It is also necessary to regain trust. The players have experienced disappointments, they have taken blows to the head. Work in defeat is never good. We want to restore their confidence. We are going to try to go back to the basics with a time constraint. It is necessary to insist on the strengths of the players that we’ll pick up. I come up with a lot of desire. Rugby, it is my passion. Therefore, I will be at 100% and I hope that it will last as long as possible.”
