It has already been reported that the World RX Championship (“World RX”) has been forced to make several changes in the course of the season this year due to the “Covid-19” virus – the dates, order and venues of the stages have already been changed. The newly published changes stipulate that 19-20. The competition “Neste World RX of Riga” planned for September at Biķernieki track will host not one, but two “World RX” stages in one weekend.
“2020 has brought many challenges that have required bold and responsible solutions. “It is now known that the fifth stage of the season will take place on Saturday of the race week, and the sixth stage on Sunday. These are significant changes, followed by active work on precise daily plans. “At the moment, the rules that the organizers of sports competitions will have to follow in September have not been made public. We do not know what the allowed number of visitors will be or what other restrictions, so we have suspended ticket sales until these requirements are known. We will follow the current restrictions in the country and work with to the responsible authorities in order to develop the exact course of the event and find a way to organize the flow of teams and fans on the Biķernieki track, which would ensure safe races for everyone, “concluded Raimonds Strokšs.
