The 41-year-old Peruvian international striker from Werder Bremen, Claudio Pizarro, put an end to his career on Monday evening, after helping to maintain his team in the Bundesliga, thanks to his draw in Heidenheim (D2, 2 -2). Never tenured this season, Pizarro was nevertheless praised by his coach Florian Kohfeldt who admitted: “After the match, I apologized to him for not having brought him into play (…) the situation was not suitableSaid the technician. Passed by Bremen and Bayern Munich, Pizarro scored 197 goals in the Bundesliga, becoming the most prolific foreign player in the German Championship behind the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski (236 goals in 321 games).
