Bavaria’s way to a triple is hard
RB Leipzig meet Atletico Madrid in the quarterfinals. Should FC Bayern prevail against Chelsea, the winner of the round of 16 will wait between SSC Napoli and FC Barcelona.
The interrupted season of the Champions League will continue in August. FC Bayern want the title, RB Leipzig is still in the race. After the draw, the potential opponents are known until the final.
Dhe FC Bayern already has one leg in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Although the season was interrupted after 3-0 in the first knockout round at Chelsea, the Munich team should hardly miss this lead. The second leg will take place on August 7th or 8th in Munich.
The rest of the knockout matches, RB Leipzig has already reached the round of the last eight teams, are to be played in Lisbon from August 12th to 23rd. In contrast to the actual mode, there will be no return games in this tournament. A game decides on progress.
Now the first part of the path that Bayern have to take to their big goal, the final, has been determined. The knockout phase was drawn on Friday in Nyon (Switzerland). The record champions would face FC Barcelona or SSC Napoli in the quarter-finals. The first leg in Italy ended 1-1.
The quarter-finals for RB Leipzig are already certain, the Saxons meet Atletico Madrid.

The semi-finals have also been drawn, so the possible path for Bayern or Leipzig into the final is clear. Now things are getting complicated, at least on the Munich side.
If Bayern win their quarter-finals, there are four opponents for the semifinals: Manchester City and Real Madrid (first leg 2-1 for the English) or just a winner from the game between Juventus and Olympique Lyon. The French won the first leg surprisingly 1-0.

It is easier with RB. Should Leipzig win against Atletico, PSG or Bergamo are waiting in the semifinals.
So it goes on in the Europa League
Eintracht Frankfurt could meet VfL Wolfsburg or Shakhtar Donetsk at the final tournament in North Rhine-Westphalia in the quarterfinals. However, the Hessians lost the first knockout round first leg against FC Basel 0: 3 before the Corona break and have to make a big comeback in the second leg (7/8 August) in Basel, in order to round out the last eight as in the previous year to reach. The tournament of the last eight teams will then take place from August 10th to 21st in Cologne (final), Gelsenkirchen, Düsseldorf and Duisburg. Donetsk won the first leg 2-1 in Wolfsburg.
A quarter-final against Inter Milan or Getafe from Spain would be waiting for Bayer Leverkusen (3-1 first leg victory at Glasgow Rangers).
