After fifteen years settled in La Seu d’Urgell, Maialen Chourraut returns home and here she will prepare for the Tokyo’2021 Olympics.
Lasarteoriatarra explains that “we had the idea to return after Tokyo, but with the change of dates of the Games we have decided to make the move.” Remember that «I went to La Seu with 23-24 years, where we have been training and living for the last fifteen years. It has given me a lot as a canoeist, but the family throws a lot ».
With no competitions on the horizon, training is not as demanding now, but “as soon as the summer is over we will go to Ereñozu, to San Miguel on the Bidasoa river and, of course, something that attracts us a lot is the Pau canal. I want to train a lot there and get out of the comfort zone I had in La Seu, look for stimuli ».
