Serena Williams’ daughter Olympia owns the Los Angeles soccer team: TheGrio



Tennis legend, Serena Williams, his daughter, Olympia Ohanian, and husband Alexis Ohanian they are all partial owners of the new Los Angeles women’s soccer team.

The team currently takes the nickname, Angel City, and is part of the National Women’s Soccer League. The official name of the team will soon be announced.

The team is the eleventh franchise to add to the organization.

Second Sports Illustrated, other famous owners include the Hollywood elite, including actors Natalie Portman, Eva Longoria, Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Garner.

Emmy winner, Uzo Adubaknown for his role of “Crazy Eyes” Orange is the new black he also owns a part.

The move makes Olympia Ohanian the youngest person to be part-owner of a professional sports team.

The announcement was made with a tweet from Olympia’s verified Twitter account. The announcement featured a photo of the boy with the words “Proud owner – Angel City”.

“A new era of sports and entertainment in Los Angeles.” The caption read: “Build a women’s soccer team that lives up to its name … Angel City”.

One user replied that Olympia is “surely the cutest owner in professional sports”.

“I am proud to be part of this wonderful group that works to bring a professional women’s football team to Los Angeles,” said Alexis Ohanian in a statement.

“Mainly because I am a fan of the game, but also because I believe there is enormous potential for the sport and it has been underestimated by too many people for too long. As a person who spends hours playing football with my 2 year old daughter, I want him to have a front row seat in this revolution. “

Ohanian went on to say, “I am investing personally on behalf of my family because creating more opportunities in women’s sport is important for me and my wife and we want to be part of a better future for our daughter.”
