Giants cornerback Deandre Baker is charged with four counts of theft with a firearm, while Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar does not face criminal charges in connection with the same incident.

Baker and Dunbar were both charged with robbery in May in their home state of Florida. Today, the Broward State Attorney’s Office announced that Baker faces charges that can carry a sentence of 10 years to life. Dunbar, however, has not been charged, with the prosecutor citing insufficient evidence.

Baker and Dunbar are both currently on the commissioner’s exemption list. The charges make it highly unlikely that Baker will be removed from that list anytime soon, but the NFL could allow Dunbar to run for the Seahawks soon.

Baker, 22, was a Giants first-round pick in 2019, but his NFL career is now in serious jeopardy. Dunbar, 28, was traded to the Washington Seahawks in March and could be up for Seattle if he’s allowed to play.
