It looks like the Sixers could possibly have that chance this off season.

You have my attention! With the off-season fast approaching, we will obviously hear more grumbles about what the Sixers want to do to fix their broken roster. But hearing from Young, in particular, makes me very intrigued, because he’s as connected as possible to the Thunder organization.
So, yes, it would seem that “Chris Paul as a Sixer” is more than just a fan thought.
Paul would, of course, also be a very good fit, a guy who averages 17.6 points and 6.7 assists on 48.9% of his shots this year, and who is deadly from the free throw line. It also appears to be ageless.
Now, how do the Sixers make that move? The pod touched on a potential trade later in the episode:

The 76ers own five picks this year, three in 2021 and two in 2022 and 2023, so they can part with one or two and fear not, big picture. Perhaps the idea of repairing Zhaire Smith would be appealing to the Thunder? He is still only 21 years old.
The main problem with a Chris Paul trade is his agreement. Paul still has two years on his contract, in which he counts $ 41 million and $ 44 million against the limit respectively. The Sixers should carve out some space – losing Horford helps, but it’s not a complete solution – to embrace Paul’s deal.
However, Elton Brand and the front office need to make a move (or two, or three) this offseason to fix what was an incredibly disappointing team in 2019-20. This would certainly be a good first step.
