No more stress from the Afrobasket qualifiers. Senegal and 3 other nations are automatically qualified for the competition scheduled for September 2021.
Scheduled for next month, FIBA has canceled the Afrobasket qualifying windows. According to the governing body, the current situation of covid-19 and the measures in force in some countries are at the origin of this decision.
FIBA then decided to directly qualify the 4 best at the end of Afrobasket 2019. These are Senegal, Mali, Mozambique and Nigeria.
If the date of the competition is already known (September 17 to 26, 2021), applications are still awaited to nominate the host country.
