Barça now proposes to cast their ballots in the Camp Nou (Xavi Hernández Navarro)

The club is sending a new protocol to the Generalitat to hold the referendum next weekend

As ARA has learned, once the state of alarm has been declared and the new mobility restrictions in Catalonia have been announced, Barça has sent a letter to the Generalitat to rule on whether the legal and health conditions for to hold the vote of censure on 1 and 2 November. The Barça club has attached the new protocol with its sole headquarters at the Camp Nou. He argues that he has not had the 15 days needed to organize a decentralized vote.

Last week, Barça and the Government held several telematic meetings to discuss both the public entrance to the Camp Nou and the Palau Blaugrana and the protocols for taking the vote of censure on the weekend of Tots Sants. After the meetings, the club asked for 15 more days to be able to adapt to the changes required by the health authorities, such as expanding the polling stations from 13 to 21 to hold the referendum. Given the government’s refusal to move the date of the motion and with the argument of mobility restrictions, the entity now proposes to centralize all voting at the stadium, as is usual in these cases.
