For the first time in over 50 years, Liverpool have conceded seven goals. The 2: 7 defeat at Aston Villa on Sunday evening started substitute keeper Adrian with a mistake in the fourth minute.

Dhe English soccer champions Liverpool FC embarrassed themselves on the 4th day of the Premier League and suffered a surprisingly significant defeat at Aston Villa. With 2: 7 (1: 4) the team of coach Jürgen Klopp went down in Birmingham on Sunday. Villa striker Ollie Watkins was the match winner of the evening with three goals in the first half (4th, 22nd and 39th minutes).

Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian, who stood for the injured regular goalkeeper Alisson, initiated the clear bankruptcy with his mistake. Adrian played an imprecise pass on his teammate Joe Gomez. Villas Jack Grealish grabbed the ball and immediately played for Watkins, who scored his first Premier League goals. In the second half, the striker even had a fourth goal on his feet, but failed free in front of Adrian.

The aggressive team from Birmingham also met John McGinn (35th), new signing Ross Barkley (55th), who had come to Aston Villa on loan from Chelsea FC, and Jack Grealish with a brace (66th, 75th). Mohamed Salah (33rd, 60th) scored both goals for the unusually weak guests in defense. Most recently, Liverpool conceded seven goals over 50 years ago. In April 1963, the club also lost 7-2 to Tottenham Hotspur.
