NFL: Ron Rivera completed his last chemotherapy treatment

Even more important than his team’s victory over the Dallas Cowboys the day before, Washington training coach Ron Rivera can celebrate Monday, as he completed his last treatment to fight cancer.

During the day, the 58-year-old man rang the bell at Northern Virginia Hospital to mark the end of his chemotherapy after seven weeks of treatment.

He will still have to continue to present to the hospital for medical follow-ups.

The one who announced before the start of this season in August that he was suffering from some form of cancer was applauded when he was released from hospital. At the time of the diagnosis, the doctors had said they were encouraged for the success of the treatments.

Despite his chemotherapy, Rivera hasn’t missed a single game for Washington, which is second in the National East Division with a 2-5 record.
