Tom Brady breaks record for most touchdown passes

When Tom Brady closed his era with the New England Patriots in a disastrous way with a pick six against the Tennessee Titans, there was no shortage of questions that indicated that his career was over.

However, Brady continues to show that he still has a lot to contribute to the NFL. Now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the six-ring Super Bowl winner threw four touchdown passes in a 45-20 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

But that wasn’t all with the Bucs quarterback. With that fourth touchdown pass, Brady reached 559 career touchdown passes, momentarily beating Drew Brees, who stayed in 558.

Great fight in the South of the NFC

Brady’s record could be short-lived as Brees is still active and next week will seek to regain the top throne in terms of touchdown passes against the Chicago Bears, while Brady will do it on Monday Night against the New York Giants.

The Buccaneers are 4-2 leading their division, however the Saints are close behind at 3-2, This because Sean Payton’s already rested this year.

Next Sunday, November 8, a new chapter will be written in the Brady vs. Brees rivalry. Saints visit Buccaneers in what could be a decisive game to define the winner of the division.
