Mookie Betts has garnered so much attention in his first season with the Los Angeles Dodgers that now until a basketball team is interested in your services.
Los Harlem Globetrotters held their 14th annual draft in which seleccionaron a Mookie Betts, 2020 World Series champion with the Dodgers. As well as the MLB superstar, the team also recruited Russell Wilson, NFL quarterback, Shaun Kirk, a college dunk specialist, and Sister Ann, star of a viral video during the NBA Finals.
Chadwick Boseman, the actor who played Black Panther and Jackie Robinson in the movie “42,” was also cast in a posthumous tribute following his death on Jackie Robinson Day in 2020.
“The Globetrotters have always chosen to select players who are exciting and can captivate fans,” Globetrotters coach Barry Hardy said in a statement. “Our players must have more than just their incredible athletic abilities. This group of recruits embodies what it means to be a Harlem Globetrotter. “
The Harlem Globetrotters, which translates to “Harlem Globetrotters,” are a basketball exhibition team that mixes athletics with theater and comedy to put on a show unique to each city in which they perform. Some of the characters who were recruited in the past ended up accepting the invitation to join the team.
Betts joins a select group of MLB players who were drafted by the Globetrotters: Mariano rivera, elected in 2013, as well as Aaron Judge, drafted in the 2017 draft.
