Nations League: Final Four with Italy and Belgium complete

The Italians left nothing to burn with the Bosnians, who had made it to League A a year ago before Austria, and won in Sarajevo without trembling.

Lukaku leads Belgium to victory

Belgium only needed a draw against Denmark to secure a place in the Final Four. Youri Tielemans scored for the home side in the third minute. But the Danes, who were dependent on a victory, managed to equalize through Jonas Wind (17th) and they could continue to hope. Romelu Lukaku, however, had something against it. The center forward from Inter Milan scored twice (56th, 70th).

Even a serious goalkeeper mistake by Thibaut Courtois (87th / own goal) did not bring the Belgians out of step, Kevin de Bruyne (88th) almost immediately followed up. England defeated Iceland 4-0, but remained only in third place due to the lost direct duel with the Danes. The Icelanders finished the group without counting and were relegated like Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Israel avoids relegation

Willi Ruttensteiner, who played his last game as team boss of the Israeli selection, was delighted. The 1-0 home win against European Championship starter Scotland thanks to a goal by Manor Solomon (44th) brought the Israelis to stay in the League B. Ruttensteiner Iceland’s association could remain as technical director, a decision should be made in a few days. The rise was made by the Czech national team, who defeated Slovakia 2-0 in a neighborhood duel.

Hungary was able to look forward to a week after winning the EM ticket. With a 2-0 win against Turkey, the Hungarians made it to League A, because Russia went down 5-0 in Serbia. Dominik Szoboszlai, who was already traveling back to Salzburg, was not part of the Hungarians. David Siger (57th) and Kevin Varga (95th) scored the goals.

Wales and Finland determined the promoted team in Cardiff. With the Finns Jere Uronen saw red after less than a quarter of an hour because of goal robbery, Harry Wilson (29th) and Daniel James (46th) let Wales cheer. The Finns shortened again with Teemu Pukki (63rd), but Kieffer Moore (84th) achieved the final result.
