The cockpit of the future Porsche 911 GT3 is revealed before its time

While the new Porsche 911 GT3 should not be presented for a few months, our colleagues from CarAdvice were able to get their hands on two images of the car’s cockpit.

Porsche is expected to unveil its new 911 GT3 next year, built around the 992 generation of the model. While being more powerful than the 991.2, it will above all be more gentrified. Indeed, as the images obtained by CarAdvice attest, the future 911 GT3 will retain the very high-tech side of this new 911.

If Porsche will always give us the pleasure of offering a red line starting at 9000 rpm, it is clear that the new GT3 will contrast with the previous generations. Like the original model, only the central counter (that of the engine speed) is still (partly) analog. All the other indicators are now digital and can be personalized as desired. The Porsche Multimedia system will not differ from the standard 911 model.

Generally, the only big change stands out in the massive use of Alcantara, although such configurations are also achievable on other versions of the 911, through the box of options. However, we can imagine that Porsche will offer bucket seats and some details specific to the 911 GT3.

As a reminder, the German car will always operate a flat six cylinder 4.0l displacement. In principle, its power should be pushed to 530 horsepower, for a torque of 500 Nm. Porsche will once again leave the choice to its customers to opt for a manual gearbox. Chassis side, the manufacturer will provide many improvements, aiming to make it at least as efficient as the 991.2. If the trend is confirmed, this new GT3 should however take a few kg on the scale. To confirm !

Currently, the Porsche 911 GT3 type 992 continues its dynamic tests on the track and on the open road. We can expect a presentation early next year, with deliveries sometime in the summer.
