After great promises made during the recent playoffs, the Mavs want to capitalize on the level of Luka Doncic. The front office wants to take action, and a star comes back to Texas very often to form a Big Three.
By selecting Luka Doncic in 2018, the Mavericks clearly felt the right way. It must be said that the entire league had been able to glimpse the special talent of the Slovenian – except the Suns, and the Kings. Two years later, Dallas does not regret a single second of having chosen Doncic, especially when we see his performances. The latter is in good shape, to the point of interfering in the conversation for the MVP this season.
Does it bode well for the future? Certainly, even if Luka sees much bigger: a title. No question for him to win MVP titles or other, the former Real Madrid wants rings, and nothing else. However, the mission promises to be difficult with the Mavs.
Kristaps Porzingis has proven to be a nice support for him, but the Latvian is still too injury-prone. The proof, he should miss the start of the season, and not just a little according to the latest feedback from a doctor. The news is not good, which also forces the front office to consider the arrival of another star. The latter is found: it is Bradley Beal.

Bradley Beal is a name that comes up often among Mav watchers, who see him as a perfect target. In Dallas, the pursuit is reserved for a third star. But a player who finished at 30.5 points (second of the season) could be even more alongside Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.
Beal would be a great added value for the Mavs, provided an agreement is reached with Washington. For the moment, it is impossible. The Wizards don’t want to trade him, at least not yet. We have to wait and see how the duo with John Wall will behave, and in case of failure, the rumors can start again.
By the 2021 playoffs? Possible if the season for the Wizards turns sour. We can also imagine a trade request, Beal having been cash on the subject recently.
