The group stage of the Champions League reached halftime as some of the biggest clubs in the competition cemented their campaigns on Wednesday’s third matchday. Juventus, Chelsea and Barcelona were all winners. However, Manchester United were upset with Istanbul Basaksehir and PSG were knocked out by Red Bull Leipzig.

Magomed Suleymanov’s set-piece finish: Krasnodar made things interesting in the first half when Suleymanov opened the goal with a free kick against Sevilla in the 17th minute.
Alvaro Morata breaks through for Juventus:: The Spanish striker was tasked with looking more backwards this season and with that seventh-minute goal opened the goal on Wednesday.
Felipe Caicedo balances Latium: The Serie A squad was absent and nearly eliminated before Caicedo came on and equalized.
Edin Visca keeps Istanbul at the top: Visca ended his run and the chance in the box after a dummy from Demba Ba gave Istanbul enough to beat Manchester United.
Christopher Nkunku brings RB Leipzig level: The former PSG player was added to the goalscorer list today when Nkunku gave the equalizer a clinical result and finally won for the Bundesliga.

Youssef En-Nesyri, Seville: The Moroccan international had done well, scoring goals and taking the win for Sevilla. He had both equalized and hit the game winner while Sevilla downplayed a man. RATING: 10

Alvaro Morata, Juventus: A solid performance by the Spanish international in his 100th appearance after a tough performance last week. Juventus won with two goals. RATING: 9
Timo Werner, Chelsea: The German striker was active in the penalty area and was responsible for converting two penalty shoot-outs tonight. He kept the Rennes defense informed. RATING: 10
