African Judo Championship (M): Egypt reigns supreme on the continent

Among the two biggest favorites, there was Ramadan Darwish (-100 kg). Winner of the Montreal Grand Prix and the African Games last year, he won the continental title at the expense of the Ivorian Koffi Kreme Kebena. In 2019 he was beaten in the final by the Algerian Lyès Bouyacoub.

Mohamed Abdelmawgound, 2019 African champion, retained his title. In the final, he dominated his compatriot Ahmed Abelrahman. The Moroccan Imad Bassou, finalist last year, took the bronze medal.
