Cucho Hernández, punished with four games for criticizing the referees – International Football – Sports

The Competition Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) sanctioned the Colombian striker of Getafe with four suspension matches Juan Camilo ‘Cucho’ Hernández, for his criticism of the referee of the match between his team and Granada, corresponding to the seventh day of LaLiga Santander, played on October 26 at the Alfonso Pérez Coliseum.

In the resolution, it is recalled that after the clash, the player criticized the referee Jesús Gil Manzano, of whom he said: “It does bother me personally that, throughout the game, he was a bit disrespectful to us, threatening us from the first minute So it conditions you, it conditions the game, but hey, I have put that aside ”.

The Committee justifies the sanction of “Cucho” Hernández in that “the protection of the honorability of the arbitration group is essential, taking into account the important work they perform”.

In addition, remember that “it is not possible to ignore that he is permanently exposed to a particular media scrutiny on each of his decisions and that, for this reason, he is deserving of special protection against demonstrations that are offensive, as a guarantee that they can continue carrying out his work with absolute freedom of judgment and without any blemish on his honor “.

The suspension for four games and the fine of 601 euros that is imposed responds, according to the Competition, to an infringement of article 100 bis of the RFEF Disciplinary Code, which classifies as a serious infringement “statements made by any person subject to sports discipline, through any means, that questions the honesty and impartiality of any member of the arbitration group or of the RFEF bodies “.

Said article includes sanctions of four to twelve suspension matches and fines of between 601 and 3,005 euros, although since the Colombian striker does not have a disciplinary record, it has been decided to impose the fine in its minimum degree both in the number of matches and in the amounts economic costs to be paid.
