Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green threatens to miss the start with a foot injury

The Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green threatens to be eliminated from the Brooklyn Nets season opener. According to coach Steve Kerr, the 30-year-old injured his foot.

Green missed the Warriors’ training on Saturday and instead got an MRI that showed no structural damage in the foot. Still, Kerr didn’t rule out the possibility of Green missing a few games at the start of the season.

The Warriors start the season with a series of away games, the first four opponents are Brooklyn, Milwaukee, Chicago and Detroit, all games are played away.

So the hotly anticipated duel between Green and Nets star Kevin Durant is also canceled. The two had disagreements with the Warriors in KD’s last season, sometimes on the field. Green put on 8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists on average last season, but made 43 games for the Dubs due to various injuries.

Kerr had better news in the case of James Wiseman. The rookie was there during training. The coach hopes that the Big Man will be there against the Nets, but did not reveal whether he is planning the second pick of the draft as a starter or a reservist.
