Erik Ten Hag’s team lost in a short time against Liverpool (Champions League, 1-0), FC Twente (1-2) and Atalanta, but partly washed away that bad taste on Saturday evening with a simple win.
Ajax started with Daley Blind in the base. The defender missed the game with Atalanta Bergamo last Wednesday because he was ill. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Quincy Promes and Sean Klaiber also appeared at the kick-off.

It was Huntelaar (header) who opened the score after a few minutes. It was the striker’s 150th goal in the Eredivisie, now 37 years old. Quincy Promes signed for the second Ajax goal in the 11th minute. Antony took care of the 3-0 halftime score in the 35th minute.
PEC Zwolle played so poorly that it could have been 5-0 or 6-0 behind at half time. However, Promes hit the post and Huntelaar and Nicolás Tagliafico should also have passed goalkeeper Michael Zetterer.
Quincy Promes made it 2-0.

Debutants
After more than an hour of playing football, Ten Hag brought in the first debutant of the evening. The 18-year-old Kenneth Taylor came on to replace Perr Schuurs. With fifteen minutes left on the clock, another newcomer entered the field. Victor Jensen, 20 years old, replaced Antony. Youth player Devyne Rensch also got playing time again.
In the final seconds it then became 4-0 for the team from Amsterdam via Ryan Gravenberch.
Leader Ajax increased the lead over Vitesse to 5 points with the victory. The number 2 of the Eredivisie from Arnhem will play against sc Heerenveen on Sunday afternoon.
