The National Basketball Association (NBA) team, the Dallas Mavericks, defeated the Los Angeles Clippers today with a score of 124:73 and rewrote NBA history. Dallas was in the lead after the first half with a score of 77:27, gaining a 50-point lead. Since the time of the attack in the NBA in 1954, no other team has been able to finish the first half with such a huge advantage.

The Mavericks showed absolute dominance in the first two quarters, while the Clippers were completely powerless. This resulted in a devastating first half of the game. No miracles happened in the second half of the match, and Dallas defended the victory with a 51-point lead. Tairel Terry and Josh Green, who drafted this year, also had a say in the final quarter of the game, as well as Boban Marjanovich, who both times missed the ball for the goal.

The 51-point victory in NBA history is only four times, but the league record is broken by a 68-point lead when the Cleveland Cavaliers played the Miami Heat 148/80 in 1991. Dallas’ 51-point lead over the Clippers is shared by the 30th largest in NBA history.

The most productive team in Dallas with 24 points, nine rebounds and eight assists was Luka Dončič, while Josh Richardson added 21 points. Another 18 points for Tim Hardave and 11 points for Jane Branson. James Johnson was at the eight balls under the baskets.

The Clippers did not help Kavai Lenard, who has a facial injury, in this duel. In the Los Angeles team, Paul George scored best with 15 points, another 13 points and nine rebounds for Serge Ibak, while Ivica Zubacs added 10 points.

The next game “Mavs” will take place on December 31 at 3:30 against Latvian time, hosting Charlotte’s “Hornets” in their field, but then on January 2 the match will follow at home at 2:00 against the Miami Heat.
