Ogier, Rugby, PSG: what to remember from the sports weekend!

THE CHAMPION. Sébastien Ogier wins a 7e world title!

What a turnaround in the WRC! While the mission seemed almost impossible – Elfyn Evans (Toyota) having a 14 point lead at the top of the general classification, Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) won in Monza (Italy) winning his 49e victory in the World Rally Championship. Stunning, the French driver held his ground on difficult and snowy roads before pushing his Welsh rival to fault and clinching his seventh WRC title.

THE TV SERIES. Paris in the lead, Lille and OL in ambush

THE TOUR OF EUROPE. Tottenham and Liverpool neck and neck, Milan and Bayern Munich leaders

THE RECORD. Kibiwott Kandie shatters the half marathon world record

The record has fallen! In Valencia (Spain), the Kenyan Kibiwott Kandie (24) on Sunday broke the world record for the men’s half-marathon by winning the race in 57 minutes and 32 seconds, ahead of the Ugandan Jacob Kiplimo (57’37 “) and Kenyan Rhonex Kipruto (57’49 ”) is 29 seconds better than the previous benchmark set by another Kenyan, Geoffrey Kamworor, who had run in 58 minutes and 1 second in September 2019 in Copenhagen.
