Tiger Woods, after experiencing “the best moment of the year”, finishes 7th with his son Charlie

He Team Woods formed by the former world No. 1 Tiger Woods and his 11 year old son Charlie Woods, repeated the result on the second and last day of the PNC Championship in pairs (ex Father & Son Challenge) in the Ritz Carlton GC from Orlando, 62 strokes (-10) and finished seventh with 124 strokes (-20), five behind the winning team, that of his great friend on the PGA Tour Justin thomas, and his father Mike, authors of a card of 57 hits this Sunday for 119 (-25). With 23 under par, the duets of three illustrious veterans finished: Mark O’Meara, Lee
Treviño and Vijay Singh.

The Woods have made seven birdies, two eagles and one bogey. And the 57 strokes of Justin Thomas and his father are not the best result in this tournament. Two years ago, Davis Love III and his son Dru Love IV (also a golf pro) scored 56 on the second day and won with -26.

Tiger drool at the end of the first round. He was happy and proud. They played well and had a great time (like this Sunday). “It was perfect. We have had a great time together, encouraging each other. Having the Thomas family by our side, sharing with them these moments, the talks we have had… All of that is priceless, ”said an excited Tiger.

Regarding the performance of his son, the first eagle of his life on hole 3 included, Tiger assured that “I have seen him hit those shots many times. Throughout the pandemic he has been playing very well. Both in the Medalist (the field where they are partners and where Tiger usually trains) and in the junior tournaments he has played, he has hit the ball that well. Of course, doing it in front of so many people and for three and a half hours is something else ”.

Charlie made it clear how he lives golf. “My only intention is that you enjoy playing golf. Nothing else. I don’t care how I played, I just wanted Charlie to have a good time and that’s how it was. Without a doubt, it was the best moment of the year ”, declared Tiger.
