Badminton is also scheduled for the next European Games in Krakow, Poland in 2023. The European Olympic Committee (EOC) announced this on Tuesday.
Beach handball, canoe, karate, modern pentathlon and taekwondo were previously added to the program of the four-yearly event. Krakow will host the third edition of the European Games, after Baku in Azerbaijan in 2015 and Minsk in Belarus in 2019.
The badminton competitions in Krakow provide points for the world ranking, on the basis of which tickets are awarded for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
