London

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Chelsea’s most expensive goalkeeper, plays again. Appearing in the FA Cup against Morecambe, Kepa was able to keep a clean sheet.

Kepa Arrizabalaga appeared as the main goalkeeper in the FA Cup third round when Chelsea vs Morecambe at Stamford Bridge, Sunday (10/1/2021). The Blues won 4-0.

Goals scored Chelsea printed by Mason Mount (18 ‘), Timo Werner (44’), Callum Hudson-Odoi (49 ‘) and Kai Havertz (86’). Chelsea is indeed so dominant over the fourth division club.

Chelsea were able to record eight shots across the field, compared to just three from Morecambe. Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was able to secure the three shots.

The only dangerous threat for Kepa is from Adam Phillips. At the start of the first half, Adam Phillips released a cross into the Chelsea penalty box.

The speed of the ball turns and turns towards the goal. Luckily, Kepa was still able to secure it even though while hugging the round skin did not cross the net.

Reporting from ESPN, Kepa Arrizabalaga finally got a clean sheet again. The last time the Spanish goalkeeper did this was in July 2020!

“Kepa is training well. He has a brilliant attitude and remains professional at his job,” said Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

Kepa Arrizabalaga was indeed left out of the Chelsea main squad, due to his declining performance in the Premier League last season. He conceded 47 times in 33 matches.

The arrival of Edouard Mendy last summer made Kepa even more ‘drowned’. Kepa, who is a goalkeeper worth Rp 1.3 trillion, must be willing to be an undercover goalkeeper, just sitting on the bench.
