Apuzzo, who was an interim nine times and served as a “firefighter” so many times at Globito, records a promotion to the First Division with Huracán himself and two titles: Copa Argentina 2013/14 and Super Cup Argentina in 2014.

Apuzzo is eager to take on the challenge of the Institute, he has already spoken with Quiroz himself to have references from the team and also with Castoldi.

“Instituto is a team that always got very good players from the youth teams and you bet on that. I think we have a very important coaching staff with Rodolfo Graieb and PF ‘Bocha’ López, who was Miguel Brindisi’s teacher in his last stage. He was in Boca, Independiente, Racing. He is a front-line teacher. You trust the person next to you and the possibility of this great team. I’m confident if it’s our turn … There will be a lot of work, a lot of honesty and we know that we can do a great job, “added Apuzzo, who is very excited about the chance:” Today due to the pandemic, people cannot go to the stadiums, but I know that The Institute has many people in Córdoba, that strengthens the idea of going to Córdoba. Nestor is currently released after his last stint in Hurricane, awaiting a tempting offer.
“I am released in Hurricane, I left in July 2020, in agreement with the president, the bond ended. I decided how to step aside, it was many years, I did nine internships at Huracán. And in the First Division I have almost 100 games directed, with 15 international games. I was lucky to win twice, by luck or because we have something. We want to show in another club that Hurricane was no coincidence. We beat River de Gallardo and Central de Russo. And in between, my biggest achievement was moving up. When I had to catch Hurricane I was last and we ended up climbing. That for me was unique ”, he details.
Precisely in Hurricane he managed to get many juniors to First.
“We have a long list of players that we took out in Huracán, ‘Pity’ Martinez, Romero Gamarra, guys that one brought to the club and now they are an important part of the squad. Hurricane has 23 inferior players, of which one was in charge for so long. All boys born in Huracán and 100 percent from the club. Quiroz told me about (Franco) Watson, obviously that the Institute has very good players in the lower ranks. (Malcom) Braida, the boy who went to Aldosivi, I loved him. We also followed (Mateo) Bajamich. Instituto always brings out very good footballers. But it is essential that he ascend, because those lower-ranking players playing the biggest youth tournament empowers them ”, he adds.
Finally, he delivers his idea for a First National team: experienced players who surround youth.
“In the spine, for the National B, we have to have experienced men, the goalkeeper, a central defender, the central midfielder and a forward. Afterwards it can be completed with guys from the club. But they always have to be accompanied. It’s your idea of having an aggressive game in a good way, putting pressure on the whole court and getting the teams to have a fair balance. With a lot of concentration, a lot of balance and being smart and taking care of your bow. When you have good players, you sure hurt. Experienced people are the ones who manage the boys and lead you to achieve balance. And you have to reach the players, which I think is what I have best as a coach. Carrying it out at the Institute would be beautiful. If I go to the Institute for me it would be to go to Real Madrid. I’m going to take the challenge that way.
