The course of the match
The match runs quite evenly. However, Liverpool slowly took control of the game.
The ball from Xherdan Shaqiri penetrated the MU defense and fell to the feet of Sadio Mane. Mane then passes to Roberto Firmino who is on the edge of the penalty box. Firmino fired with his left foot, but still wide of the MU goal.
Trent Alexander-Arnold lifts the ball to Mane who then passes to Firmino. Firmino’s shot was blocked by Lindelof and the gag ball that Mohamed Salah struck still bounced over the goal.
MU got a free kick in front of the Liverpool penalty box following Shaqiri’s foul on Luke Shaw. Bruno Fernandes advanced as executor. The ball kicked over the Liverpool player’s posse, but still narrowly from the target.
Liverpool immediately responded via counterattack. Wrong dribbling from the left side to the penalty box. The ball that escaped Salah, who was under a tight control over the MU defender, was then struck by Firmino. Firmino’s kick ball this time is aimed right at David de Gea.
