SIENA – The Siena Baseball Club has applied for affiliation to the FIBS Regional Committee, which should be accepted by the next Federal Council which will take place on Monday 11 January.
The beat and run finally returns to have citizenship in the City of the Palio, after the beginnings in the early 80s with the Polisportiva Libertas and “exile” in Castellina Scalo in recent years.
It is precisely the large Sienese component that accepted the option of a separation proposed by the Monteriggioni baseball club, thus working to bring the sport of bats and mittens back to the capital, where, moreover, the activity has never stopped over the years (afternoon mini-basketball course at Polisportozzi, management of the summer camps of the Municipality of Siena, participation in Siena Sport Week).
He will be president of the Juventus club Irene Bonazzola, which will lead a board consisting of Federica Gambelli, Francesco Giusti (who will be the Technical Director), Antonio Rodriguez e Jose Sanchez.
The training sessions will take place at the “Renzo Corsi” school camp, a space granted by the municipal administration of Siena to the sports associations to deal with the pandemic emergency. The Under 12s will train on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 17.20 to 18.35, the Serie C and Under 15s on Tuesdays and Fridays from 18 to 19.
