The third edition of the Córdoba Open already has names confirmed

This Tuesday the list of tennis players who will star in the third edition of the Córdoba Open ATP 250, which opens the South American tour on brick dust, was confirmed. Diego Schwartzman, ninth in the ATP rankings and finalist in the last season, is the main favorite and will seek the first title in Argentina.

The rest of the Argentines that make up the roster are: Juan Ignacio Londero (81), from Córdoba who became champion of the inaugural edition; Guido Pella (44), fourth seed and runner-up in 2018; Federico Delbonis (77) and Federico Coria (91). Benoit Paire (28), second seeded, will be one of the great attractions.

The Frenchman, winner of three ATP titles on brick dust, will make his debut at the Córdoba Open. Another player who will be featured for the first time at the tournament will be Miomir Kecmanovic (42), a talented Serbian who was world No. 1 at junior level in 2016 and became the ATP champion of Kitzbuhel in 2020.

All registered players are in the top 100 in the world in the ATP Rankings.

“We are very happy with the players who will come to the third edition of the Córdoba Open, it will be a very competitive team with multiple players who guarantee a high level of tennis,” said Mariano Ink, Director of the Córdoba Open

And he highlighted the presence of Diego Schwartzman: “It is a luxury that Diego, in his current Top10 condition, leads the tournament, as well as the rest of the Argentine tennis players who will be participating.”

The Córdoba Open 2021 will be held from February 20 to 28 at the Sports Center of the Mario Alberto Kempes Complex. In the coming days, the three guests to participate in the main draw will be confirmed, as well as the protagonists of the classification that will define the four remaining participants
