The Union offers a new derby against RWDM

This third derby of the season between the RWDM and the Union took place on a ground at the limit of the practicable (the rain and the snow which fell before the meeting did not help). Each team having won a round in the first round, the ambition of each club was to establish its supremacy over the other. But this match, he quickly turned to the advantage of the leader of the championship. On a return strike, Van der Heyden sent the ball into Matthys’ skylight after just five minutes of play.

RWDM needed several minutes to get into their match but managed to gain the upper hand during the second part of the first act, without worrying Moris. Felice Mazzù remobilized his troops at the break and the Union finally played more in the Molenbeek camp. If Burgess missed the inevitable from the start, the Union could count on a Vanzeir on the lookout to punish a local approximation on the hour mark (0-2). The meeting was folded and even if Euvrard made Rocha climb 20 minutes from time, the RWDM was never able to worry a rather quiet leader in this Brussels derby.
