2020 is finally over and we hope that this year 2021 will bring us (and you) a lot of good things. In the NBA, we already have a small idea of those we will talk about the most or who will mark the spirits during the next 12 months.
LeBron James
At 36 years old, the “King” can cement his legend a little more, this time without the argument of the bubble and special conditions to bring water to the mill of those who want to minimize his accomplishments. A back to back would offer him a fifth ring, or as much as Kobe Bryant which would obviously be very symbolically.
Either way, until he decides to retire – as late as possible, thank you – LeBron will always be the center of attention in the NBA and a major player in every year that begins. This is the hallmark of a generational player, GOAT or not.
Zion Williamson
We have not yet had the right to a full year of Zion Williamson. The first will be in 2021. And, frankly, it will hurt. Because the first choice of the 2019 draft may have been a little forgotten with its physical glitches, it’s still a hell of a machine. A bulldozer every time he sets foot on the floor.
The Pelicans have some flaws but they are nice to follow and they clearly have what it takes to make it into the playoff race in the West. Particularly thanks to Zion. For now, the young man is only starting to get into the rhythm but he is already hot in terms of stats. The explosion should not be long.
LaMelo Ball, learn to love the pure showman of tomorrow!

Three years ago, we had a high school match between the LaMelo Ball team and Zion Williamson’s. We then saw the last offspring of LaVar take shots from the midfield at the start of possession and act the exact opposite of a future pro player. Time went by, the boy grew up, roaming in Europe and Australia, to become one of the biggest young talents in the league.
You can think what you want of the family and the individual, but there is still a very serious chance that he will be one of the most spectacular players to see in the NBA in 2021. In a year where we will need to remember what enthusiasm and fun are, the Hornets point guard and his laser passes from elsewhere should help us. With growing playing time and growing opportunities, he should quickly get into the race for the Rookie of the Year title and why not win it?
