1: 1 against Spain! Poland can hope thanks to Lewandowski – football

Poland prevented the early EM exit with a 1-1 draw against Spain. The Bayern star saved an important point for his team.

All of Poland takes a deep breath! Bayern-Knipser Lewandowski secured his team a point against Spain with a wonderful header, thus preventing them from being eliminated. Spain is annoyed about the 1-1 because Gerard Moreno slammed a penalty to make it 2-1.

Even in the Spain group, everything is still open after two games. Because the Iberians could not defeat the Poles, all four teams still have a chance of promotion on the last day of the match.

As with the 0-0 draw against Sweden, the Spaniards had an incredible amount of possession and controlled the pace of the game. The Iberians put the Poles to sleep a little, only to strike once at lightning speed.

In the 26th minute, Alvaro Morata was spot on and after a presentation by Gerard Moreno, he made it 1-0. So it went into the break, because Poland only hit the bar with Swiderski, Lewandowksi wasted the margin.

Eight minutes after the restart, the Bayern superstar did not miss his second big chance – the Pole climbed up and headed beautifully to equalize 1: 1.

Spain misses penalties

In return, it got tricky again for the Poles, but Spain missed a penalty through Moreno, the VAR had previously looked very carefully.

The rest of the game is easy to explain: Spain had almost 80 percent possession of the ball, but couldn’t do anything with it, the Poles switched to counterattacking and couldn’t get anything together.

Showdown on the last day of the game

So it stayed at 1: 1, with which Poland can certainly live better, after all Lewandowski and Co. still have a small chance of promotion in the last duel with Sweden. Spain must also score fully against Slovakia, otherwise it will be tight for the co-favorites.
