DFB-Elf celebrates shooting festival against Latvia

Dhe last stage of the preparation for the European Championship for the German national team begins. Joachim Löw’s team arrived in Franconia on Tuesday, where the national coach will give his EM squad the final touches up to the difficult start of the tournament in Munich against world champions France in a week.
Only a few isolated fans under umbrellas waited for the arrival of captain Manuel Neuer and the other players. The team lives and trains before and during the European Championship with partner Adidas in the Home Ground base, which was set up according to the ideas of the coaching staff and the players.
The small houses for four players each are located in a forest area that is part of the sporting goods company’s premises in Herzogenaurach. They are bordered by large green camouflage nets and white privacy tarpaulins. The site is reminiscent of the legendary Campo Bahia, where the German team lived on the way to winning the 2014 World Cup.

Training takes place in the Adi-Dassler Stadium, which is also located on the sponsor’s campus. “The fine-tuning is not yet what I want it to be. We have to keep working hard. But the basis is good at the moment, ”said Löw after the lively 7-1 goal festival in the friendly against Latvia.
The hot phase starts on Thursday
After a violent thunderstorm, the DFB charter plane landed at the airport in Nuremberg on Tuesday evening in light rain. Löw got out first, his 26 players and the entire entourage followed. After a free Wednesday, the Löw-Elf will start the hot phase of preparation on Thursday.
