Euro 2021: European clubs wear the colors of the rainbow

Many football clubs across the old continent have modified their traditional logos in recent hours to add the colors of the rainbow, those of the LGBT movement which defends, in particular, the rights of bisexual and homosexual people. or transgender.

These reactions from the clubs are part of a vast protest movement known as the “Rainbow gate”. It follows UEFA’s decision to ban the city of Munich from lighting up its rainbow-colored stadium in protest against Hungary’s policy on sexual minorities ahead of the match. Awareness messages were also broadcast and, just before kick-off, the players and referees gathered around a poster “Gay or straight, we all wear the same jersey”. Other disciplines in France had joined this movement.
