The fans reacted after the club’s publication, on a new anniversary of Argentina’s coronation in that World Cup with the Kaiser as captain.

Núñez’s club chose a photo of the Kaiser with the World Cup celebrating at the Monumental. In turn, they recalled that there were four other Millionaire footballers on that campus: Ubaldo “Pato” Fillol, Norberto Alonso, Leopoldo Jacinto Luque and Oscar Ortiz.
The publication aroused mixed opinions from fans: many were angry remembering that he was the president at the time of relegation in 2011, while others highlighted his mark as a player and coach in the institution of Núñez.
Passarella, emblem as a footballer and coach, was marked by being the president of the institution at the time of descent. In the celebration for the 120th anniversary, it had very little place in the emotional institutional video: just a photo of a team formation in the 1970s.
“I saw the video they made … I don’t know, I didn’t give it much importance”, said the former world champion defender (captain in Argentina 1978 and also part of the squad in Mexico 1986) in an interview with the Chilean newspaper La Tercera. However, he also made it clear that he feels part of the club’s history and that he deserved his place. “I think so, maybe I should have been, but I don’t know.”added the Kaiser, who left the Núñez institution in 2013.
