The Barça assembly approves Bartomeu’s 97 million deficit

The compromising partners of the FC Barcelona have approved the accounts for the 2019-2020 season and the 2020-2021 budget of the board of directors of Josep Maria Bartomeu at the General Assembly of Compromisers that is being held this Sunday at the Camp Nou.

These two points, which had been waiting for almost a year to be approved because the pandemic did not allow the assembly to be held before, have been defended by Jordi Moix, representative of the board of Bartomeu, who has risen to the stands amid whistles and applause while the secretary Josep Cubells he asked for respect.

After moments of tension, the accounts for the 2019-2020 academic year, with 97 million losses, they were approved by 616 votes in favor, 67 against and 68 blank votes, and the 2020-2021 budget, by 578 votes in favor, 71 against and 94 blank.

The fact is that this budget, which is expected to raise 828 million euros and obtain 1 million profits, on June 30 will close with a loss of more than 300 million, according to sources in the board of Laporta.
