The hearty judo delegation had a good performance on its first day of competition at the National CONADE 2021, where a gold medal was obtained in the -63 kgs division courtesy of Ana Elisa Requejo Benítez, who finished as undefeated champion in the category sub 18.
The national champion finished her final fight with ippon against the participant from Chiapas to add the first golden metal of the discipline.
Likewise, Carla Barbosa in -70kgs won a bronze medal by winning two fights and falling in the semifinal against Jalisco
It should be noted that both athletes were under the command of Jorge Luis Atencio as head of coaches, as well as Alicia Che and Arturo Requejo as assistants, in addition to the science services applied to sport by Horuos Samael García who kept an eye on their recovery in every fight.
