In the first match of the doubleheader with Macerata, San Marino Baseball toast the victory, which in Serravalle rules the Hotsand with a score of 7-3, remaining at the top of the classification of Group B of Poule Scudetto. The winner of the match is Nicola Garbella, who entered for Luca Di Raffaele at the beginning of fifth. Three-point home run for Federico Celli.
THE CHRONICLE. Doriano Bindi’s men start well immediately, with the leadoff Tromp hitting a great triple at 1st and with Lorenzo Morresi taking him home immediately afterwards with the 1-0 sacrifice sprint. Quattrini, however, stops the bleeding and on the 3rd Macerata draws. Merit of the two internal hits of Lugo (there is also an error of the defense) and Gonzalez and of the rebounding of Lopez that brings in the 1-1.
In the lower part, however, the Titans react immediately and come back thanks again to the Tromp-Morresi pairing, with the first hitting a single and the second beating the double which is worth 2-1. Macerata is a solid team and keeps the game in balance until the lower part of the 5th, when Federico Celli meets a good launch from Quattrini and transforms him into the three-point home run who writes 5-1 on the scoreboard (Di Fabio and Morresi, based on two singles).
The game seems to be directed on the most favorable tracks in San Marino, but Macerata is not there and shortens to 6th with two points, pushed home by the hits of Di Turi (2-5) and Luciani (3-5) on Nicola Garbella.
A few minutes pass and at the change of pitch the hosts extend back to +4. Epifano gains the base ball, Di Fabio hits a great triple for the 6-3 and Tromp pushes his teammate home with the sacrificial sprint of 7-3. It is the final score, because then Nicola Garbella no longer has any problems on the mountain and closes the three final innings without granting arrivals on base.
