Eric Bledsoe and Steven Adams are the centerpieces of a change that the Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans made in the NBA on Monday, ESPN reported.
The pair of veterans come to the Grizzlies along with the 10th and 40th overall picks from the 2021 draft and a protected pick from the 2022 draft.
Jonas Valanciunas comes to the Pelicans plus the picks from this year’s process in positions 17 and 51.
New Orleans creates salary cap space for August that allows them to either match an offer sheet on Lonzo Ball, or have the cap space to pursue a significant free agent point guard, including Kyle Lowry and others. Pels liked Valanciunas as floor spacer at center over Adams, too. https://t.co/3YRyBTEg1S

Point guard Bledsoe and center Adams lend strength to a roster that has young star Ja Morant plus troops Dillon Brooks and Jaren Jackson Jr.
Pending the official deal, the Memphis could send Bledsoe to another team in a new deal, Yahoo Sports said.
Eric Bledsoe, who New Orleans included in a trade package, is not expected to stay in Memphis, league sources tell @YahooSports.

Meanwhile, in New Orleans they will have Valanciunas to accompany the star Zion Williamson in the game under the board.
