Finnish basketball player Madsen will continue to represent “VEF Riga”

The 26-year-old Finnish basketball player will play for the third season in a row in the “VEF Rīga” team.

Last season, he scored an average of 6.7 points in nine FIBA ​​Champions League games, won 5.7 rebounds and blocked 1.2 shots. In the Latvian-Estonian league, he had an average of 9.0 points in 20 fights, 6.4 balls under the baskets and 1.0 blocked throw.

In the Latvian Basketball League elimination tournament, Madsen played in seven games, in which he scored an average of 10.3 points and won 6.4 rebounds.

Before going to Riga, Madsen was in the Herbalife system of the Spanish league club Gran Canaria, playing in the reserve team that fought in the national fourth league. Before that, the Finn spent two seasons in the USK team in Prague.

Last season, “VEF Rīga” won the title of Latvian champion, won a silver award in the Latvian-Estonian league and reached the second stage in the FIBA ​​Champions League.
