For its third friendly preparatory match, Olympique de Marseille took the upper hand over Servette de Geneva (3-1), this Thursday, Fos-sur-Mer. The opportunity for the flagship rookie of the summer transfer window, Gerson, to score his first goal under his new colors. Cengiz nder and Konrad De la Fuente also showed good things.

And three for the Olympique de Marseille. Dj winner of Martigues (3-0) and Ste (2-1), the phocen club won its third friendly preparation match against Servette de Geneva (3-1), this Thursday, Fos-sur-Mer.
Sluggish in the first half, Jorge Sampaoli’s men returned with much better intentions after the break with notably the first goal of flagship rookie Gerson, as well as remarks from Cengiz nder and Konrad De la Fuente.
Marseille is looking for itself
Put under pressure in the first minutes, the Marseillais got the first big chance. Perfectly offset by Payet, Dieng watched Frick make a superb, reflex stop on his flat foot. In a well-shot 3-5-2, OM occupied the width of the field well but had more difficulty finding depth to surprise a team yet positioned high enough.
With a very strong wind and in front of nearly 5000 spectators, Marseille marked little time. It even took a nice save from Ngapandouetnbu to fend off a clever attempt by former club player Kyei. If Payet, in good form, showed his advantage, Gerson was hardly found despite his interesting positioning between the lines.
Gerson finds the fault, nder and De la Fuente very interesting
On returning from the locker room, the Brazilian midfielder passed the second. While he saw Balerdi pushing back a tight shot low to the ground which took the direction of the goal, the defector from Flamengo opened the scoring with a subtle spike following a marvelous pass from Kamara (1-0, 54th) . An opening scoring deserved for OM, therefore much more incisive, especially after the entry to nder, very punchy with the ball at the foot and also close to scoring with a floating strike after a superb rush.
Above in the second period, the Phocens offered a loose football. But, overconfident, they were taken in by a model of collective action by Swiss training, concluded by Rodelin (1-1, 78th). A short-lived disappointment since Benedetto took advantage of a hard work from De la Fuente to restore the Marseille advantage with a cross shot (2-1, 80 ‘). As nder hit the post with a powerful strike, De la Fuente had a small festival to offer the double Benedetto (3-1, 90th + 2).
