Judo the first to arrive in Tokyo for the Olympic Games – FEDENADOR

Judo is the first tricolor delegation to arrive in Japan. The national team will have a focus on Tachikawa before their competitions at the Olympics. While members of the staff of the Ecuadorian Olympic Committee are already in Tokyo for the DRM.

It was on Sunday, July 11, that the first delegates and athletes who make up Team Ecuador left for the Olympic Games, and after a trip of almost two days they arrived in Japan.

The COE advance team is made up of Paola Villalba, representative of NOC Ecuador before the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee, and methodologists Eduardo Barros and Nadia Dumani. They will be at the DRM delegation registration meetings that take place before the Games.

For judo there are Lenin Preciado, Estefanía García, Vanessa Chalá and coach José Romero, who will carry out a preparation base prior to their competitions at the Tachihi Holdings1 Sports Complex, in Tachikawa, a Japanese city located in Tokyo.

Thanks to the management of Panam Sports, for the first time in history, prior to an Olympic event, outstanding athletes from the Americas meet for training camps.

A total of 113 participants, between athletes and technicians, will be part of the most massive camp in terms of number of Olympic Committees, held in Japan in the prelude to Tokyo.
