Ossendrecht sports summer with badminton and table tennis

OSSENDRECHT – Table tennis club TCO’78 and badminton club BC De Driespoel from Ossendrecht are joining forces this summer. After a long lockdown, both clubs are far from ready for a summer break. That is why members can continue to exercise and taste each other’s disciplines this summer.

During the school holidays, both clubs share the room rental of their home base De Driespoel. Dion van Dooren, chairman of TCO’78: “Due to the lockdown, we have not been able to practice our beloved sport for a long time. We have asked the members if they are interested in continuing to play in the summer. That interest was there. There are of course members at both clubs who enjoy the holiday. In order not to play in an empty hall, we sought a partnership with badminton.”

Deborah Mafait of BC De Driespoel adds: “We will make it a sports summer in Ossendrecht! This way anyone who wants to can get acquainted with 2 local sports clubs. So come and have a look.” The training evenings are on the following dates, always from 8 pm to 10 pm: Tuesday July 27, Tuesday August 3 and Tuesday August 10; Thursday 19 August, Thursday 26 August and Thursday 2 September.

On Tuesday 10 August there will be a duo tournament, in which members of both associations will be linked together. Thursday 24 August there will be a tournament for guests. Each member may then bring 1 extra guest to play the tournament together.
