After the historic silver medal achieved by Maialen Chourraut last Tuesday in the Slalon K-1 Women’s event of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Club Atlético San Sebastián has prepared for this Thursday a reception for both the Olympic medalist and her coach Xabi Etxaniz. The event will take place at 6.30 pm on the beach of La Concha de Donostia, at the height of the clubhouse of the Lasarte-Oria canoeist, with the obligation to wear a mask.
The headquarters of the Club Atlético San Sebastián was the meeting place for colleagues, family members and fans of Chourraut to follow the final live, where joy was unleashed after the loss of Jessica Fox. The Gipuzkoan athlete, who had planned to travel today home, he became a legend of Gipuzcano sport last Tuesday by completing the trio of Olympic medals -bronze in London 2021, gold in Rio 2016 and silver in Tokyo 2020-.
