Winning weekend for the Black Hocks
The Jarrets Noirs de Beauce played two games this weekend. They received a visit from the Rover de Sainte Marie last Friday and were on the Charlesbourg side to face the Polycor on Sunday.

The Beaucerons took the opportunity to end a two-game losing streak and signed two consecutive wins.

Friday in Saint-Georges, the Jarrets Noirs crushed the Rover de Sainte-Marie by a score of 13 to 2. Maxime Beaulieu was the starting pitcher for the Jarrets Noirs.

In the first set, the Black Knots scored five points. The Rover closed the gap in the third round by scoring two points. On the other hand, the Black Knuckles replied with a point as well.

In the next round, Vincent Vachon and Jonathan Dulac hit back-to-back home runs. Then, in the 5th set, Jonathan Dulac ended the game with his 2nd home run of the game in a five-point set.

The Black Hocks hit a total of 12 hits. Jonathan Dulac also hit three in the win.

« It feels good to be back on track to victory after two losses, but above all it’s nice to see the guys get their eyes back on the stick. We had experienced some difficulties lately », Summarized head coach Simon Potvin.

The next part of Les Jarrets Noirs will take place in Saint-Georges, on Friday August 6th. The Polycor de Charlesbourg will be visiting at 8 p.m.

Two wins for the Black Knights

The Beaucerons ended a three-game losing streak by sweeping the two-game series with scores of 12-3 and 14-6.

At the mound, the Black Knights sent Guillaume Mathieu. The latter experienced difficulties in the first round by giving Félix-Antoine Belley a three-point homerun. This will also be Mathieu’s only misstep in this part.

The BK hit a total of 8 hits.

For the second part, Thomas Lessard was the right man to start at the mound. The offense also gave him a nice cushion of eight points in the second round.

Guillaume Mathieu hit the long ball in the 4th inning in the victory.

With 10 hits, several BK hitters hit more than one hit. Guillaume Mathieu with three and Gabriel Turgeon and Philippe Tremblay with two.

For head coach Jonathan Dulac, these two victories have done a lot of good. ” The standings are so tight, we had to win these two games. After three consecutive defeats, we had to respond strongly », He finished.

The next part will be for a double program at the Lacroix-Dutil Sports Center, on Sunday August 8. At 1 p.m., Rimouski Baseball ID will be the team in action. Then, at 4.30 p.m., it will be facing the Artillerymen of Lévic-Center.
