Veteran wide receiver Yadier Molina will continue his career with the St. Louis Cardinals for at least a 19th season as he accepted a one-year, $ 10 million contract extension.
At least that’s what The Athletic reported on Tuesday. The Puerto Rican is due to receive $ 9 million this year.
Molina is batting .259 this season as he has slammed eight homers and produced 51 points in 95 games. He also played in his 10th career All-Star game last month.
Recognized as one of the best defensive receivers in major league baseball history, the 39-year-old has captured eight Golden Gloves in his career.
