at 97 he continues to compete

How does a person born on March 22, 1924 can you keep playing tennis? This is the story of the Ukrainian Leonid Stanislavsky, who holds the Guinness record as the oldest tennis player in the world.

He started playing 30 years and since then he has not let go of his racket, nor does he intend to. “For professional tennis my age is quite advanced. As an amateur I can continue playing at 97 years old,” says Leonid.

He intends to continue beating his rivals, even people much younger than him. To do this, Leonid confesses his secret: “Sometimes I sleep during the day to gain strength. When I have a scheduled training I sleep at least ten hours overnight”.

He collects medals with pride, both in tennis and in his other hobbies: swimming and the ski; and dream of one day parachute jumping.

Your next challenge will be to compete and try to win the Super Senior World Championship that will be disputed in Mallorca next October.
