For the first time in her career, tennis player Barbora Krejčíková reached the top ten in the singles chart, which she is closing. Roland Garros, the winner of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where she won gold doubles with Kateřina Siniaková, did not play, but moved up one place to the top 10 thanks to the decline of Romanian Simona Halepová, a former world number one.
Karolína Plíšková remained the best Czech, who is sixth, Petra Kvitová is in twelfth place. In addition to Krejčíková, Tereza Martincová also improved her career ranking maximum, moving to 61st position.
The WTA Tour is led by Wimbledon champion Ashleigh Barty from Australia with a big lead of 2489 points over Japan’s Naomi Osaka.
